Dr. Asma Mian completed her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at Yale University. The Yale Child Study Center is internationally recognized for excellence in child and adolescent psychiatry training. Dr. Mian was born and raised in New Jersey where she earned her her B.A. in Chemistry at Drew University in Madison and her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Rutger’s Graduate School in Newark, NJ.

She began her career as a clinical researcher at Drew University investigating Celiac Sprue and Gluten Intolerance, followed by MRI imaging research at the Rutger’s Graduate School and at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. While she enjoyed research, her primary interest was in caring for patients and she chose to pursue a career in Psychiatry. She obtained her M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her Adult Psychiatry training at Northwell Health– Zucker Hillside Hospital in N.Y.

She has joined ARA’s multidisciplinary mental health care team and brings her expertise in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, neuroanatomy and biochemistry to help ARA continue to provide the highest quality treatment to children, adolescents and adults in the Princeton area.
