Dr. Dalzell’s goal as a psychologist is create space where you feel understood and can share your problems in the context of a safe, caring environment. Dr. Dalzell’s approach to therapy is primarily cognitive behavioral with careful consideration of personalized, evidence-based approaches that are tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Dr. Dalzell works collaboratively with clients to problem-solve and recognizes that therapy needs to be engaging, with an emphasis on experiential learning.
Dr. Dalzell’s broad training across multiple settings (behavioral health/primary settings, community mental health clinics, school-based settings, emergency shelters, and a sexual assault response team for several hospitals) has provided her with substantial clinical psychology skills in working with children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Dalzell completed her APA accredited postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente’s Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in San Jose, California. A focal element of her training has been early trauma interventions for adult trauma survivors in a specialty clinic setting.
